Frequently Asked Questions

Trading Technology MT4/MT5 Licensing Prop Trading Hosting & Ops

EBS FinTech is a technology and infrastructure provider. We do not offer retail brokerage services, accept client funds, or conduct regulated financial activities ourselves. We act as a facilitator and implementation partner for licensed entities — not a guarantor of MetaQuotes approval, licensing outcomes, or liquidity provider terms.

01 Overview

What does EBS FinTech do?

We are a B2B technology and infrastructure provider for the MT4/MT5 ecosystem. Core offerings include MT5/MT4 platform builds, licensing coordination (full main-label setup), server hosting and maintenance, and two proprietary layers — EBSWare xTrader and EBSWare Prop.

  • Audience: regulated brokers, proprietary trading firms, and fintech startups building on MT4/MT5.
  • Model: one-off implementation plus optional managed-service arrangements.
  • Deployment: cloud, hybrid, or on-prem in major financial hubs.

Do you provide end-client trading services?

No. We work exclusively with businesses. We do not solicit retail clients, hold client funds, or provide regulated brokerage services ourselves — we build and support the infrastructure our clients use to do so under their own license.

02 MT5/MT4 Licensing & Setup

What MT5 licensing options are available today?

MetaQuotes no longer issues white-label or grey-label licenses of any kind. The only route available directly from MetaQuotes today is a full MT5 main-label license, issued to a regulated entity. EBS FinTech coordinates and facilitates this application and technical build process on your behalf — we do not guarantee approval, which sits with MetaQuotes and your regulator.

What if we don’t hold, or can’t obtain, our own regulatory license?

For firms not yet ready to pursue a full main-label license, we can arrange a matched cooperation setup with a fully licensed broker partner, allowing you to operate under their brand while we handle the technical build. This is a coordination service; final commercial terms are agreed directly between you and the licensed partner.

How long does a full MT5 main-label build take?

Regulatory review timelines vary by jurisdiction and are outside our control. Once licensing is confirmed, the technical build itself typically takes a few weeks, depending on the number of asset classes, integrations, and branding rounds involved.

Do you build MT4 as well as MT5?

Yes. We support MT4 builds and hosting for existing operators, though the availability of new MT4 licenses depends on the same regulatory landscape as MT5.

Is EBS FinTech a MetaQuotes reseller?

No. We are a facilitator and technical implementation partner for the MT4/MT5 ecosystem, not a reseller of MetaQuotes licenses.

03 MT4/MT5 Infrastructure & Operations

What ongoing MT4/MT5 server services do you provide?

Server installation and hardening, plugin/module management, bridge configuration, uptime monitoring, log retention, capacity planning, daily backups, and disaster-recovery drills.

Can you migrate or scale an existing MT4/MT5 setup?

Yes — lift-and-shift migrations, cross-data-center replication, and clustered high-availability topologies to minimize downtime and reduce latency.

Do you support EA and plugin compatibility?

We manage installation and compatibility testing across common EAs and third-party add-on modules, and can advise on performance impact before deployment.

What happens if our MT5 server needs emergency maintenance?

Our support team follows documented runbooks with response windows defined by your support tier — see Support & SLA.

04 EBSWare xTrader (Multi-Asset)

What front ends and devices are supported?

WebTrader, iOS/Android, and desktop. Real-time quotes and charts, order types (market/limit/stop), OCO/OCA, analytics, and notifications.

Which back-office tools are included?

  • Trader & account management, KYC status, deposits/withdrawals
  • Risk dashboard: exposure, P/L, margin usage, alerts
  • Fee configuration, partner/IB settings, revenue reports
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) and audit logs

Can xTrader connect to existing liquidity?

Yes. We connect via FIX 4.x/5.0 or bridge adapters to LPs and ECNs across major FX and CFD venues.

05 EBSWare Prop (Proprietary Trading)

What does the prop stack include?

  • Challenge builder (phases, targets, max daily/overall drawdown)
  • Auto-verification, breach detection, and rule engine
  • Funded account automation and scaling plans
  • Performance dashboards and leaderboards

Do you support compliance for prop firms?

We provide configurable disclosures, geography filters, and KYC/AML hooks. Jurisdictional legal review and licensing obligations remain the client’s responsibility.

06 Server Hosting & Maintenance

Where can we host?

London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and additional points of presence upon request. Options include VPS, dedicated servers, or colocation, with anycast/WAF/DDoS protection available.

What are typical latency targets?

In-region, intra-data-center order routing typically achieves single-digit millisecond latency; cross-region paths are optimized via premium transit and peering.

07 Liquidity & Bridge Connectivity

How is liquidity integrated?

Via FIX API, bridge connectors, or venue SDKs. Smart routing supports A-book, B-book, or hybrid models, with configurable markup, min/max spread, rejects, and throttles.

08 Integrations & APIs

What external systems can we plug in?

  • CRM (lead routing, KYC status, segmenting)
  • KYC/AML (IDV, liveness, sanctions/PEP screening)
  • Payments (cards, APMs, bank rails, PSPs)
  • BI/warehouse (Redshift/BigQuery/Snowflake export)

Which API patterns are available?

REST and WebSocket for market data and orders; FIX for institutional routing; webhooks for events (KYC passed, order filled, payout released). OAuth2/SSO supported.

09 Security

How do you secure platforms and data?

Network segmentation, MFA/SSO, role-based permissions, encryption in transit and at rest, key rotation, WAF/DDoS, vulnerability scans, and audit logs.

Do you offer disaster recovery?

Yes — RPO/RTO objectives with periodic DR tests, backup encryption, and geo-replication.

10 Compliance & Legal

What compliance features are available?

Hreflang/geofencing by jurisdiction, product eligibility flags, configurable disclosures, KYC/AML hooks, and data-retention policies. Legal authorization and licensing remain the client’s responsibility.

Do you operate in sanctioned regions?

We do not provide services to sanctioned regions or parties. Clients must maintain their own sanctions screening and regulatory approvals.

11 Pricing & Deployment

What pricing models are available?

Implementation fee plus a monthly subscription, generally. Optional add-ons include additional environments (UAT/staging), advanced analytics, and managed operations. Exact figures depend on scope — reach out for a tailored quote.

Can we self-host?

Yes, subject to security and support prerequisites. Many clients choose managed hosting for faster time-to-market.

12 Support & SLA

What is your support model?

Tiered support, from business hours to 24×7. Ticketing plus Slack/Telegram bridges are available, with optional incident post-mortems and a change advisory board (CAB) for larger deployments.

Do you provide UAT and training?

Yes — sandbox environment, admin training, and runbooks for day-to-day operations.

13 Data, Privacy & Residency

Where is data stored?

Primarily in your selected region, with encrypted backups. Data processing follows the client’s privacy policy and applicable laws.

Can we export raw data?

Yes — scheduled S3/Blob exports, database read replicas (subject to scope), and BI connectors.

14 Payments & Settlement

Which payment options are available?

Card processors, bank transfers, and alternative payment methods (APMs) via PSP partners. PCI DSS compliance rests with the PSP; we tokenize data where available.

15 Multilingual, SEO & Hreflang

Do you support multilingual sites and SEO best practices?

Yes — content structure for Polylang/WPML, hreflang mapping, localized slugs, and per-locale OG/Twitter images for better CTR.

16 Migration

Can you migrate us from an existing provider?

Yes — content, users, KYC status, and balances (subject to reconciliation), plus DNS cutover with rollback plans.
